Russian compatriots celebrated the New Year in Canada. The Manitoba Russian Speaking Association was the organizer of the New Year's online party. For the first time, its participants celebrated the holiday online.

Despite some technical difficulties, the participants retained a festive mood. Russian folk and modern songs performed by talented singers and musicians of Manitoba sounded on the air.

The Russian-Speaking Association of Manitoba is known for always actively participating in the annual Folklorama festivals, where compatriots from the multinational community of people from Russia and other republics of the former Soviet Union showcase their talents.

The main goal of the association is "to unite the Russian-speaking population of Manitoba on the basis of the language and cultural values that are embedded in each of us, regardless of nationality and religion."
