Young Russian compatriots from different countries summed up results of 2020

The results of the Futurum international project were discussed by young Russian compatriots at the "Challenges of our time. Trends 2021" conference. It took place online, according to the Youth Coordination Council of Great Britain and Northern Ireland on its Facebook page.

The forum was attended by representatives of more than 10 countries. Among them were young leaders from Armenia, the United States, Iraq, Spain, Botswana, Russia and other states.

The speakers presented their good practices aimed at developing cooperation during a difficult epidemiological situation. They also touched upon the development of digital diplomacy, development and implementation of new technologies. They discussed the work of youth movements located far from large cities.

Summing up the results of the year, the speakers noted positive trends in the field of numerous activities of young compatriots around the world and the line of openness in dialogues at all levels.

During the videoconference, the youth agenda for the coming year was drawn up.

The Futurum project, launched by the Youth Club of Compatriots in Cyprus, brought together Russian-speaking youth from different countries. In the spring, at the first conference, the project participants discussed the consequences of the coronavirus and the changes that will occur on the planet in the next ten years.

Within the framework of the Futurum project, online seminars and discussions with specialists in various fields are planned. According to the organizers, the project should become a navigator of the future for the next decade for Russian-speaking youth.
