The press conference of the President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin took place on Thursday, December 17, RIA Novosti reports. It is held every year, and every year the dialogue of the head of state with journalists becomes one of the most anticipated events.

This year, Vladimir Putin got in touch from his residence, located in Novo-Ogaryovo. Representatives of the media, both Russian and foreign, gathered at the World Trade Center. Regional media journalists asked questions via video link from their federal districts.

The press conference, which was held for the 16th time, began at noon. Federal TV channels set aside three hours for its broadcast.

The press conference was broadcasted by Channel One, Russia-1, Russia-24, Mir-24, NTV, ORT, Mayak radio stations, Radio Rossii, Vesti FM, websites of the listed resources ... In particular, it could be seen at the link.
 
This year, the event was supplemented with elements of a direct line: people could ask questions to the president using the application "Moscow to Putin".

The head of state sums up the results, talks about the current situation inside the country and worldwide, sets tasks for the future. Often, an appeal to the head of state helps to cope with specific problems. The interest of the media and spectators in the press conference always remains very high. A year ago, it became one of the record lengths and lasted 4 hours and 18 minutes. During this time, the president received about 80 questions, which were asked by 57 media representatives.
