7th International Pedagogical Forum "Language, Society, People" was concluded on December, 7. 

The executive director of the Russkiy Mir Foundation, Vladimir Kochin greeted participants. He has noted how important it was in this difficult year for everyone - teachers, students, schoolchildren - to get together again and talk about the future.

The participants of the meeting paid tribute to the memory of the President of St. Petersburg University and the Russian Academy of Education, the International Society of Teachers of Russian Language and Literature, the chairman of the board of trustees of the Russkiy Mir Foundation, the renowned Russian language specialist Lyudmila Verbitskaya, who stood at the origins of the International Pedagogical Forum.

The forum sessions were held December 5-7. The night before the opening, competition program was held within the framework of the forum, the participants of which presented original, innovative projects in the field of teaching the Russian language and literature. This year the competition is being held in two nominations: "Literary reading as a way to develop personal potential: projects and research" and "Innovative projects of the Gymnasium Union of Russia".

The purpose of the forum was to develop consolidated decisions of the pedagogical community of schools and universities, as well as representatives of education authorities, professional and public associations on key issues of teaching, research and popularization of the Russian language, literature and culture.

The topics of the 7th International Pedagogical Forum were related to the issues of the functioning of language in society and the state, the relationship between language and thinking; with sociolinguistic and pedagogical problems caused by the pandemic.
