Actual Russia educational marathon to be held in South Korea

The Actual Russia educational marathon will be held in South Korea from 17 to 19 December. The event is aimed at teachers of the Russian language and translators, as well as those who are interested in the Russian language and plan to enroll in educational institutions in Russia, according to the website of the Coordinating Council of Organizations of Russian Compatriots in the Republic of Korea.

The marathon is held to improve the level of training of specialists in South Korea, whose professional activities are related to the Russian language. The event is also intended to popularize the Russian language among young people in South Korea.

The project is being implemented with a subsidy from the Ministry of Education of Russia, participation in the marathon is free. A series of events will open with a lecture entitled “Russian in the World: Why and How It Can Be Promoted”. Over the course of three days, participants will receive master classes and lectures from Russian teachers and methodologists, as well as translation masters.

On December 9, the Actual Russia marathon will open in the Balkans; it will be organized by the Russian Humanitarian Mission in Bosnia and Herzegovina. On the eve of the marathon, the organizers announced an essay competition entitled "Russian Language of Friendship".
