Circus performers from different countries took part in Tver festival

The Festival of Circus Art started the day before, on November 27, in Tver. It is timed to the anniversary of the victory in WWII, TASS reports. Its participants were amateur circus groups, schools, studios and individual performers aged 5 to 18 years.

The festival program brought together 150 young Russian about 60 foreign circus performers. They represent almost the entire world - from Germany and Israel to Peru and Mongolia.

Participants will compete in several categories. The best acrobats, clowns, gymnasts, equilibrists, jugglers, trainers, illusionists and mimes will be selected.

The skills and talent of the contestants will be evaluated by prominent figures of circus art from 15 countries. The jury was headed by the head of the Russian State Circus Vladimir Shemyakin.

The festival will end with a gala performance and an award ceremony on November 29.
