2nd Festival of Russian Foreign Theaters gathered over million spectators

The online audience of the Festival of Russian Foreign Theaters this year has exceeded one million people, according to the Culture Mania website. The theater forum was held for the second time. Online performances have expanded the reach of the audience. The festival program included performances by guests from Moldova, Belarus, Tajikistan and other countries. Actors appeared on the stages of the Sovremennik and Et Cetera theaters.

According to Alexander Kalyagin, who heads the Union of Theater Workers of Russia, cultural ties and friendly relations have already been established between the festival participants. He stressed that all this is happening on the basis of love for the Russian language, for Russian culture.

The festival opened with a round table discussion. Representatives of the authorities, heads of creative teams discussed the prospects for strengthening international cooperation in the cultural sphere, the prospects for the development of Russian theaters abroad, both creatively and practically. A large educational program was also held.
