Film directors from Israel, Singapore, Peru and France win awards at VGIK festival

The organizers of the VGIK International Student Festival announced the winners. The best works of the anniversary 40th festival were determined by the jury, which was headed by the outstanding South Korean director Kim Ki-Duk. Viewers could find out the results of the competition live, the awarding ceremony was screened online, Kultura TV channel reports.

The Grand Prix went to Hile Roysenman from Israel for the "Frost and Sun". The jury recognized the Singaporean film "Adam" as the best feature film. Peruvian director Alberto Flores Vilze won an award for "Mother Rain" in the best documentary category. And Eloise Ferley from France won the award for the best cartoon - the jury highly appreciated  "To the Sea of ​​Ashes".

The general producer of the festival, Fyodor Popov, noted the growing attention to the competition from students who comprehend the art of cinema in different countries. 

The film forum helped to attract viewers to cinemas, films of talented students from all over the world were shown in more than 300 cities of Russia. Russian President Vladimir Putin sent his congratulations to the participants and guests of the festival.
