Philologists of Argentine learned about new approaches in teaching Russian

The results of a series of free events aimed at popularizing the Russian language, Russian culture and education have been summed up. They were held in Argentina with the assistance of Rossotrudnichestvo, the agency's website reports.

According to Olga Muratova, the head of the Russian Center for Science and Culture in Buenos Aires, the large-scale action aroused great interest among specialists who work in this area. It provided an opportunity to improve the professional level of teachers of Russian as a foreign language. Another important result was the strengthening of cooperation between Russian and Argentinian educational institutions.

The events introduced Russian language teachers, students from Russian-speaking families and their parents to new teaching aids, modern technologies for teaching the Russian language.

Presentations of textbooks and manuals took place, experts spoke about online resources aimed at supporting RSL teachers.

Leading Russian universities organized interactive tours and master classes. All interested persons got acquainted with the Higher School of Economics, the Peoples' Friendship University of Russia and other universities. They also discussed issues related to the peculiarities of teaching in a Spanish-speaking environment and testing.
