Hungary becomes 1st European country to receive Sputnik V vaccine

The first samples of the Russian Sputnik V coronavirus vaccine were brought to Hungary, RIA Novosti reports. According to the head of the Hungarian Foreign Ministry Peter Siyjarto, the drug was delivered from Moscow by Aeroflot flight.

Hungary became the first country in Europe to receive the Russian drug. Earlier it became known that the drug is planned to be produced in Hungary, where they are already working on the preparation of the production site.

A plant for the production of the Russian vaccine against coronavirus infection will be also built in Kazakhstan and South Korea. It is planned that more than 150 million doses of the drug will be released in the latter. In addition, the vaccine was delivered to India, where the third phase of clinical trials will begin soon.
