The "Month of Russian Heritage in Canada" online concert, which was attended by over 50 performers from Russia and the former Soviet republics, completed the program of celebrating the Month of Russian Culture in Canada, the press service of organizations of Russian compatriots in Canada reported.

The concert included performances from residents of Toronto, Vancouver, Montreal and other major cities in the country. Welcoming compatriots, Russian Ambassador to Canada Alexander Darchiev said that the Russian community in the country was contributing to strengthening mutual understanding between the peoples of the two countries.

The participants sang Russian songs, including those created specifically for the program of the month of Russian culture, and told compatriots about the cultural life in their cities.

The Month of Russian Culture is being held in Canada for the 2nd time. The Russian community received an offer to hold a series of events dedicated to Russian cultural heritage last year. 15 Russian-speaking organizations in many cities of Canada took part in the first concert.
