The Forum of Russian Youth in Australia was held in Sydney for the 2nd time, with residents of Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane and the Gold Coast taking part. The organizer was the Council of Russian Compatriots of Australia with the support of the Russian Embassy and the government of New South Wales, TASS reports.

About 50 people took part in the forum in person, the rest were able to join the discussion online. The delegates included scientists, journalists, employees of educational institutions from Russia and Australia.

The participants discussed the role of youth in the modern world going through difficult times. The program also included plenary sessions, mind games, practical exercises and project presentations.

According to the head of the Council of Australia's Compatriots Marina Belkina, the forum provides opportunities for youth dialogue. The guests of the event learned about the goals and activities of the Russian community. The forum also makes it possible to create a single humanitarian and scientific space, within the framework of which youth can interact with Russia.
