Russian writers perform at international book fair in Spain

Literary discussions, round tables, presentations will be held from October 27 to October 29 by Russian writers, translators, critics and researchers as part of the Liber Digital International Book Fair, which takes place online. Live broadcasts of the events of the Russian block are broadcast on the website of the "Read Russia / Lee a Rusia" project.

The Russian page of the international fair opened with a “The Urals and Siberia in Russian Literature” discussion, in which the famous Russian writer Alexei Ivanov took part. After that, the official opening of the Russian project will take place, in which Antonio Avila, secretary of the Federation of Publishers' Associations of Spain, is expected to participate.

A round table dedicated to cooperation between museums and collectors is scheduled for the evening. It will be attended by collectors, cultural funds, directors of museums from Russia and Spain. There will also be a discussion on female images in Russian literature, led by the director of the Russian Center of the Russkiy Mir Foundation of the University of Granada Enrique Quero Hervilla, and the participants will be the writer Guzel Yakhina, the methodologist of the Russian Center Nina Kresova and others.

On the second day of the fair, a round table with translators and publishers of Russian literature into Spanish and Catalan is planned, as well as a presentation of the international congress of literary translators and grant programs for translators of Russian literature. Also, the participants of the events will discuss the cities of Russia and Spain in the work of modern writers, the peculiarities of writing a literary biography.
