Families of foreigners living in South Korea's Gyeonggi province will receive one-time aid from the local government. The aid is intended for schoolchildren under the age of 18 with foreign citizenship. Many families of Russian compatriots fall into this category, the Coordinating Council of Organizations of Russian Compatriots in South Korea reports on Facebook.

It is emphasized that help will be available to minors in public, private, special and other primary and secondary schools. In addition, the allowance will be given to parents of children with citizenship of another country who study in foreign schools or in non-accredited alternative schools, as well as those who are not studying.

To get help, parents should contact their local Department of Education. The amount of aid will be from 150,000 won ($130) to 200,000 won ($175).
