The Dialogues with Memory play, dedicated to the 150th anniversary of the Russian writer and poet Ivan Bunin, was staged at the Russian Dialogue theater in New York. The theater has existed on Broadway for the past three years. The play is based on Bunin's diaries. The production features the Nobel speech of the Russian writer, the Russian America newspaper reports.

The theater has existed in New York for 17 years; over the years, Dialog has given performances in many theaters of the city, collecting sold out houses. The troupe is made up of graduates of professional educational institutions in Moscow, St. Petersburg and New York. The theater has toured and taken part in theater festivals in Russia and a number of European countries. Most of the theater's performances are dedicated to outstanding Russian writers, poets and artists.

According to the founder and artistic director of the theater, Irina Volkovich, the number of young spectators at the performances of Dialogue is growing. The performances are attended not only by Russian-speaking theatergoers, but also by American students studying Russian. According to the artistic director, this can be explained by the fatigue of some Americans from pop culture.
