Russian Youth Club in Egypt starts environmental poster competition

The Sakhara Youth Club of the Russian Geographical Society (RGS) has announced an international competition for an ecological poster. The competition will be held with the support of the representative office of Rossotrudnichestvo in Egypt, the Victory Volunteers movement in Egypt and other organizations, according to the club's Facebook page.

Anyone who is at least 11 years old can take part in the competition; applications will open on October 27 and will last until December 9. The winners will be announced on December 18. Participants are expected to display posters on the importance of nature conservation. One can submit both individual and collective works. The competition will be covered by Children's Television and the Yunaya Planeta media school.

The youth movement of the RGS has been actively developing for several years. In the past and current years, youth clubs of the RGS have opened in different countries of the world. Their participants study the history and geography of Russia and other countries, maintain close contacts with Russian peers, organize expeditions and carry out projects in offline and online formats.
