The traditional Festival of the Historical Center was held in Guatemala, organized by the Russian Embassy in the country with the participation of representatives of Russian culture. The 23rd festival was held online due to the coronavirus pandemic, the Russian Foreign Ministry reported on Facebook.

The organizers managed to compose an interesting and varied program, which included the Last Tango ballet performed by the dancers of the Russian Ballet, a performance by flutist Viktor Khotulev from the National Philharmonic Orchestra of Russia.

The audience could see the paintings of the artists of the St. Petersburg Society of Watercolors on the slides. In addition, a film was shown on the history of Russian women's costume with a demonstration of an exhibition of dolls in folk dresses from the regions of Russia.

The Historic Center Festival is considered one of the most notable events on Guatemala's cultural billboard. It is noted that the virtual event attracted the attention of local residents. These films and videos are posted on the festival website.
