The results of the Chiriku Festival of Children's Songs were summed up in Tanzania. The creative competition took place for the 3rd time. This year it was included in the program dedicated to the anniversary of the opening of the representative office of Rossotrudnichestvo in Dar es Salaam, which will turn 30 in 1,5 months. The organizers are the National Council of Arts and the Coordinating Council of Russian Compatriots in Tanzania.

The organizers note that the festival has become a notable event in a country where there are practically no children's songs.

The competition is aimed at popularizing the Russian language, it also helps to attract attention to the national culture. Another important task is the development of a national children's music culture and children's musical creativity in Tanzania.

Both individual performers and creative teams had the chance to fight for victory. The first, qualifying, stage was held online. Everyone was invited to send a video of the performance of two songs in Russian. Depending on the submitted applications, the contestants performed in different age groups.

The skills and talent of the participants were assessed by leading vocal teachers, famous musicians and cultural figures. The program of the final gala concert included the performances of five vocal groups and four soloists.

The Grand Prix of the Chiriku festival was awarded to eight-year-old Karina Kivala.
