Lampa International Film Festival takes place in Perm

The Lampa Film Festival opened on Thursday, October 15, in Perm, TASS reports. At the opening, the audience saw the one-man show "Believe in Yourself". A member of the jury, famous Russian actor Alexander Petrov, took the stage.

According to the President of the Film Forum Olga Zubkova, this year Lampa is not just a festival but an effective platform for discussions and educational purposes. The festival will last for three days.

The Lampa Festival is held in Perm and is the only film forum in the world devoted to social service and charity in the language of cinema. The films are dedicated to real people trying to change the world around them for the better. The festival is organized by the National Association for the Development of Education and the Vector of Friendship organization with the support of Rossotrudnichestvo.

The festival received almost 1,000 applications from nearly 100 countries. The short list included about 40 films. Half of them will receive various awards. The President of the Film Festival Yana Poplavskaya recalled that more and more countries were joining the forum.

The speakers of the film forum are invited experts, as well as members of the jury and the Lamps organizing committee, among them are actors Alexander Petrov, Anton Bogdanov, Viktor Dobronravov, Ivan Yankovsky, Yana Poplavskaya, film festival ambassador Katerina Shpitsa and others.
