Compatriots presented Russian culture at international holiday in Leipzig

Creative teams of Russian compatriots living in Germany performed at the Freiluft-4 International Art and Culture Festival, which took place in Leipzig as part of the International Culture Week. For three days the festival was attended by more than 500 spectators, according to Russkoe Pole.

Young and adult artists from Russian song and dance ensembles, as well as vocal and musical groups from Leipzig and other cities of Germany took the stage. Clowns and magicians performed.

The organizer of the festival was the Society for the Support of Culture and Art, it was held with the assistance of Rossotrudnichestvo and organizations of Russian compatriots, the Union of Saxon Emigration Organizations and partner societies.

Russkiy Mir reported that earlier the Day of Tatar Culture was held in Leipzig, in which Russian compatriots also took part. The organizers announced their intention to hold the Tatar folk holiday Sabantuy in Germany next year.
