Russian fair held in Tanzania

The Russian Fair took place last weekend in the city of Dar es Salaam, located in Tanzania. The organizer of the large-scale event is traditionally the Coordination Council of Russian Compatriots Organizations. Every year the fair is hosted by the representative office of Rossotrudnichestvo in Dar es Salaam.
Hundreds of people took part in this bright project. The fair brought together not only immigrants from Russia and local residents, but also citizens of other countries. They were presented with a variety of souvenirs, products of folk craftsmen - original jewelry, multi-colored scarves, delicious Russian chocolate, books published in Russia, clothes.

The most popular dishes were traditional Russian cuisine. Also, Africans were able to taste the dishes of other peoples of Russia.
Tanzanian craftsmen, as well as citizens of Lebanon, Denmark, Indonesia, Iran, Turkey and other countries also demonstrated their talents at the fair.

A concert was held as part of the fair, participants of the Our Songs festival took the stage. The online format allowed residents of Madagascar and France to join the project.
 
Workshops and outdoor games were held on the playground. Children were introduced to chess and even held a mini-tournament.
