The Epidemic TV series enter Netflix top-10 list

The Russian TV series To the Lake ("The Epidemic" is the original title) took 8th place in the list of the best TV series of the popular international platform Netflix. According to the creators, To the Lake has outstripped such world-famous TV series as American Family and Family Guy, being the only new product in the top ten TV series, TASS reports.

The Russian series premiered on October 7 in the premium category, in Russia To the Lake will be launched on TV-3 on October 12. The series, directed by Pavel Kostomarov and based on the work of Yana Wagner's novel Vongozero, tell about the defeat of an unidentified virus.

After Moscow fails to the virus, its residents begin to struggle for existence, changing their lifestyle and behavior in the aftermath of the disaster. The famous actress Victoria Isakova, who played one of the main roles in the series, congratulated her colleagues on the fact that their work would be seen in 68 countries in 12 languages.

Russkiy Mir reported that the Russian film Blackout became a leader in online screenings in France, breaking the record on local streaming platforms. The film tells about a planetary cataclysm.
