Yesenin days in Argentina opened with teleconference

Russian compatriots living in Buenos Aires and Argentines were able to learn a lot of interesting things about the life and work of the Russian poet Sergei Yesenin during a teleconference with the State Museum-Reserve of the poet in the Ryazan village of Konstantinovo. The teleconference was timed to coincide with the 125th anniversary of Sergei Yesenin, it opened the Yesenin Days in Argentina cycle, the Rossotrudnichestvo website reports.

The teleconference linked the museum with the Russian Center for Science and Culture in Buenos Aires. Compatriots and locals listened to the story of the head of the department of scientific and methodological work and cultural and leisure activities of the museum-reserve Natalya Ramnyonak, who focused on the activities of the museum and the events prepared for the anniversary.

Within the framework of the meeting, a plot was shown dedicated to the house-museum of Sergei Yesenin in his native village. The cycle will continue with a meeting with the teacher of the University of Buenos Aires, translator of Russian literature Omar Lobos. The event is scheduled for October 23.
