Results of International contest in Russian summed up in UK

Children and adults from Great Britain, Italy, Ireland, Switzerland and Kazakhstan took part in the 10th Olympiad in the Russian language, which was organized by the Russian-British RUBRIC Cultural Center with the support of the Rossotrudnichestvo office in Great Britain and the Russian Heritage in United Kingdom society, the Rossotrudnichestvo website reports.

The Olympiad is traditionally attended by students from British and Northern Irish Russian schools, as well as those residents of the country who independently study Russian. The anniversary Olympiad received an international status; participants from four more countries wished to join it.

According to the organizers, the expansion of the geography and age boundaries of the participants speaks of the growing popularity of learning Russian in different countries of the world. The winners of the Olympiad will receive books and certificates of honor from Rossotrudnichestvo.
