Over 11,000 people visited the online platform of the second stage of the Russian Education 2020 exhibition-fair, which was held for the 21st time. The event was organized by the representative office of Rossotrudnichestvo in India and RusEducation. The exhibitors expect an increase in interest in Russian universities, especially in the medical field, the Rossotrudnichestvo website reports.

Indian applicants were able to learn about the training program and conditions for admission to 13 federal and regional universities from 11 cities of Russia. Rectors of universities from Nizhny Novgorod, Ufa and Perm, as well as State Duma deputy Sergei Veremeenko spoke at the exhibition.

The deputy noted that the recently adopted permit for students from abroad to work in Russia will increase the attractiveness of Russian universities for foreign students. The head of the Rossotrudnichestvo office in India Fyodor Rozovsky noted the continued high demand for Russian education in the country.

Honorary Consul of Russia in India Ratish Nair noted that the news that Russian scientists were the first to develop a vaccine against coronavirus significantly increased the international authority of Russian medical education. This should lead to an increase in the number of Indian applicants who have chosen Russia for higher education.
