Friends of Russia meeting held in Slovakia

The meeting of the friends of Russia took place in Slovakia, the Rossotrudnichestvo website reports.

It united more than a hundred people who gathered from all over the country in Banska Bystrica. Among them are members of public organizations, Russian compatriots, and everyone who is interested in the Russian language, Russian culture and Russian history.

The action lasted for three days. It started with the performance of the anthems of the two countries.

The opening of the Holocaust: Destruction, Liberation, Salvation exhibition was timed to coincide with the forum. Among its exhibits are historical photographs, documentary materials stored in the archives. The exhibition tells about the liberation of the prisoners of Auschwitz.

Impromptu concerts were held every evening. The Union of Russians in Kosice held demonstration Russian language lessons for children. The youth prepared their own musical program and applications with Russian symbols. 

In three days, the participants managed to make friends and made a unanimous decision: to make the meeting of friends of Russia traditional and hold it every year.
