Next spring, a new international school will start operating in South Korea, where Russian-speaking classes will open, according to the website of the Coordination Council of Russian Compatriots Organizations. The main goal of the new educational institution is integrated education for children from multicultural and Korean families. The school will operate in Gyeonggi Province in Siheung City.

It is planned that the composition of the students will consist of Korean families and multicultural families living in Siheun and Ansan. Interviews will be conducted for those wishing to study at the new school.

In addition to the compulsory school curriculum, students in each class will learn a variety of languages, including Korean, English and their own language. Also, children will be taught Korean and world history, literature and arts.

The school will be the first state-owned school where students will be graded on the model of the Western educational system.

The first will open the middle stage of the school. It will include six classes. Two for Chinese and Korean language of instruction and one for Russian. The high school will start operating a year later, and the primary school will open in 2024.
