More than 23,000 people were able to take advantage of the humanitarian aid received from the Russian Orthodox Church, RIA Novosti reports. The food collected by the parishioners of the Russian Orthodox Church over the past three months has been received not only by residents of Russia, but also by the population of Kyrgyzstan, Moldova, even the Philippines and East Timor.

The humanitarian action united 35 dioceses. The aggregator of church social initiatives started working in July.

Fundraising for food continues to this day. Church social projects continue to prepare for the winter: they collect shoes and clothes for the homeless and families in difficult life circumstances.

More than 100 church volunteer services work in Russia and abroad, about 7,000 Orthodox volunteers are involved in helping, and more than 100 dioceses of the Russian Orthodox Church have organized hotlines for those in need.
