In the next five years, Russian and Chinese specialists will publish collections of documents on the economic and cultural relations between the two countries in the 20th century. The work on the collections will become one of the main parts of the program of cooperation in the field of archives, which was agreed upon by Moscow and Beijing, Xinhua reports.

The parties determined the list of events for the next five years (starting from 2021) at a videoconference of the Chinese-Russian subcommittee on cooperation in the field of archives, created within the framework of the bilateral commission on humanitarian cooperation.

In addition to working on the publication of documents related to bilateral cooperation in the second half of the last century, the parties intend to hold a number of joint exhibitions timed to coincide with anniversaries important for Moscow and Beijing.

Lu Guoqiang, head of the State Archives Administration of China, stressed that the activities of the joint program will continue the practical cooperation between the two countries, which has intensified over the past five years and has brought positive results.
