Russian film included to competition program of Warsaw Film Festival

Alexei Uchitel's feature Tsoi will be presented in the competition program of the Warsaw Film Festival, which is scheduled to open on October 9 in full-time format. The festival in the capital of Poland is considered the largest in Eastern Europe, TASS reports.

The Warsaw Film Festival will take place for the 36th time from 9 to 18 October. The film was produced by Russian and Latvian studios with the support of the Cinema Foundation. The plot revolves around the death and funeral of the legendary musician Viktor Tsoi, as well as the tragedy of the driver who took part in an accident that took the life of the leader of the Kino group and one of the symbols of the generation. At the same time, it is emphasized that the film is a fictional story.

Alexey Uchitel began work on the script about ten years ago, the premiere of the picture was repeatedly postponed. In addition to Tsoi, films from Austria, France, Japan, Kazakhstan and other countries will compete for the victory in the festival.
