The holiday of Russian culture was held with the support of the Moscow authorities, the Coordination Council of Organizations of Russian Compatriots of Croatia, the representative office of Rossotrudnichestvo and the local administration.

The Kalinka ensemble, the Slavyanka vocal ensemble, as well as Croatian musical groups performed in front of the public as part of the concert program.

The program was attended by representatives of the Russian community, teachers of Russian studies and their pupils. Poems in Russian were sung by students studying Russian. The guests were able to see colorful folk costumes and hear the balalaika.

The whole program took place in the open air, on the old square of the city of Svetvinchenat.

The event was organized with the aim of establishing cultural ties and friendly relations between the peoples of Russia and Croatia and acquainting the Croatian public with Russian culture, language, music and traditions.
