Almost 40 countries have received test systems to determine the coronavirus, TASS reports. According to the head of Rospotrebnadzor Anna Popova, the Russian department sent them free of charge.

Popova noted that this amount was enough to conduct more than a million tests. All the necessary reagents were donated along with the test systems.

The tests carried out at the Vector Center were handed over to foreign countries.

Earlier, Moscow received about 30 requests for help in countering the spread of coronavirus infection from African countries. During the pandemic, 29 African states and the African Union asked to assist in the fight against COVID-19. Almost 30,000 units of laboratory materials and more than 8,000 units of personal protective equipment have been sent to the Democratic Republic of the Congo.

Medical multipurpose modules and components for the creation of two medical complexes were transferred to Djibouti. The Guinean authorities have received test kits for research. During the pandemic, Russia donated humanitarian aid to the Union of the Comoros and Madagascar.
