The burials of the remains of servicemen who died during World War II took place at the Maardus cemetery in Estonia. The remains of 151 warriors were found by local search teams. The burials of the Red Army soldiers have been held at the memorial site of the cemetery in Maardu for 15 years, TASS reports.

The remains of the soldiers were found in 2020 on the territory of Estonia by members of the Vironia detachment and the Front Line military history club. The ceremony was attended by veterans and diplomats. Since 2005, 1,285 Red Army soldiers have been buried in Maardu.

In August, a monument to Soviet soldiers who died during the liberation of Estonia was opened in Tartu after restoration.
