The Cross Year of Scientific and Educational Partnerships between Russia and Germany was a great success, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov is sure. The closing ceremony took place on Tuesday, September 15, in Berlin, TASS reports. The Russian Foreign Minister's message was read by the Russian Ambassador Sergei Nechaev. Sergei Lavrov was supposed to come to Berlin himself, but his visit was canceled at the last moment.

According to the Russian minister, the cross year has made it possible to strengthen ties in the scientific and cultural fields between the two countries, which have existed for many years. The program made it possible to prepare a plan for the further development of cooperation between Russia and Germany in the field of science and culture.

National Research Technological University, the German House of Science and Innovation in Moscow and the German Academic Exchange Service helped to hold the cross year. Sergey Lavrov thanked them for organizing and conducting many different events at the highest level in the very difficult conditions of the pandemic. He also highly appreciated the idea of ​​the competition for the best project in the field of scientific and educational cooperation.
