Russia resumes flights to Maldives

Aeroflot resumes flights to the Maldives, the Rossiyskaya Gazeta newspaper writes. The first flight is scheduled for Thursday, September 10, the plane will take off from the capital's Sheremetyevo airport. Previously, air traffic was terminated due to restrictions aimed at preventing the spread of coronavirus infection.

According to the schedule, planes will fly to the islands twice a week: every Thursday and Sunday. It will be possible to fly back on Friday and Sunday.

Earlier, Russian airlines resumed flights to Turkey, the UAE and Egypt in accordance with the order of the Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin.

Representatives of the Russian authorities have repeatedly stressed that the date for opening the borders will depend on the epidemiological situation.
