Festival of readers in Russian to be held in Germany for 3rd time

The organizers of the 3rd Festival of Russian-language readers have opened the call for applications from participants. Videos with the reading of Russian classics can be sent by children and adolescents aged 8-16 who live in Germany. The organizer of the festival is the Russian House in Berlin, according to the Russkoe Pole newspaper.

The festival is held online and includes a qualifying (competitive) stage, a summing up stage and the awarding ceremony. Winners and awardees will be determined in two age categories. The main prize will be a trip to the Khanty-Mansi Autonomous Okrug.

Participants need to send a video to the organizing committee with the reading by heart of a prose or poetic work of a Russian classic, including writers and poets of the last century. Entries are accepted until October 1, the winners will be announced at the end of November.
