Russian airlines are starting to fly to the Maldives, the UAE and Egypt, RIA Novosti reports. The corresponding order was signed by the head of the Government of the Russian Federation Mikhail Mishustin.

Air traffic is being restored on a reciprocal basis. There will be 3 flights weekly to Cairo airport, and twice a week to Dubai and the Maldives.

It is also expected that passenger flights to some of the CIS countries will reopen in early autumn.

Russia resumed international flights from August 1. The planes went abroad from Moscow, the Moscow region, St. Petersburg and Rostov-on-Don. The first countries with which air traffic is being restored are Great Britain, Turkey, Tanzania and Switzerland.

The authorities of each country impose their own rules for the entry of foreigners into their territory. Somewhere a medical certificate about the absence of coronavirus will be enough, somewhere one needs mandatory quarantine. In addition, not all countries can be reached by plane.

Representatives of the Russian authorities have repeatedly stressed that the date for opening the borders will depend on the epidemiological situation.
