The production about Peter the Great and the transformation of Russia into a sea power during the years of his reign became the main event of the Vivat, Russia! Festival in Wuppertal (Western Germany) The festival is traditionally held in different cities of Germany on the initiative of the All-German Coordinating Council of Russian Compatriots and with the support of the Russian Embassy in Germany in order to promote Russian culture, according to the Russkoe Pole newspaper.

The festival was held offline, actors and spectators strictly observed sanitary standards. The event was opened by a representative of the Consulate General in Bonn. Galina Burda, the organizer of the festival, the head of the Applause Society, said that the festival, which allowed people to meet after the acute phase of the pandemic, brightened up the mood of compatriots.

The main event of the cultural forum was a theatrical performance dedicated to the era of Peter I. The organizers reminded the audience that on August 30, 1721, Russia and Sweden signed a peace agreement, ending the Northern War, which had lasted more than twenty years.

The concert program was attended by the soloist of the Omsk Theater Alla Tsinko, the Kulagin folk instrument ensemble, the Kalinka dance ensemble and the Applayus show-theater artists. Famous Russian songs from different eras were performed.
