The number of participants in the Russian Language Week, which took place in China, exceeded 250 people. It was held on the eve of the beginning of the academic year at the Rosotrudnichestvo office in Beijing, the agency's website reports.

Free Russian language classes were organized for everyone. Despite the restrictions aimed at countering the spread of coronavirus infection, the Russian Cultural Center did not stop popularizing the Russian language. On the contrary, some of the events were transferred to the virtual space, which made it possible to significantly increase the number of listeners.

The lessons were taught by teachers from Russia who can speak Chinese. All teachers have vast experience, high qualifications and extensive practice in teaching Russian as a foreign language.

Trainees could start learning from any level available and had the opportunity to ask questions directly to the teacher in Chinese.

At the end of the classes, many participants noted that the format of open online lessons provides an excellent opportunity to get acquainted with the Russian language and test their knowledge without leaving home.
