Russian tecahers and schoolchildren celebrate the Knowledge Day (September 1) the way it has always been celebrated, despite the coronavirus pandemic, TASS reports. Classes in all educational institutions will begin to function offline.

However, the new academic year will begin with the requirements of Rospotrebnadzor. The main of them is to measure the temperature of children and adults at a school entry. Those who have signs of SARS should be placed on the self-isolation regime. The observance of a social distance of 1.5 meters and the maximum separation of children from different groups and classes are also recommened for schools.

In addition, all public events in educational institutions with the participation of several classes and groups are prohibited until January 2021. If a student is diagnosed with a coronavirus, Rospotrebnadzor will conduct an epidemic investigation and all contact persons will be quarantined for 14 days, each case will be considered individually.

Parents' meetings will be held online, parents' access to schools will be limited. The bell system in schools will be canceled as each class will have its own schedule to comply with coronavirus safety regulations.

It is not forbidden for universities to conduct face-to-face classes, but it is recommended to temporarily switch extension and evening departments to distance learning. University students and teachers will have to wear masks, with an exception made for creative activities, as well as for lecturers. The university should provide personal protective equipment, masks, gloves for teachers, students and staff.
