The number of foreign military personnel who will begin training at Russian military universities in the new academic year will exceed 10,000 people, TASS reports. According to the representative of the national defense department Viktor Goremykin, 83 states have signed contracts for the training of their military personnel in Russia.

Foreigners study in the same specialties as Russian military personnel. The representative of the Ministry of Defense added that some foreign citizens were eligible to get education in Russia for free. Every year, he explained, the department provided them with quotas - Russia covers the costs of maintaining and training cadets.

The Army-2020 international forum started on August 23. Its program includes briefings, round tables, and discussions. Participants will discuss the development of military technology and many other topics. The exhibition of Russian developments will be a record-breaking one. The Army Forum traditionally arouses great interest all over the world. Online broadcasts are organized for those who cannot come to Russia.
