Photo exhibition about Russia opened in Thailand

The best photographs of the 6th photo competition of the Russian Geographical Society (RGS) are presented at the exhibition, which began work in Thailand. An exposition of photographs capturing the beauty of nature and fauna of Russia was opened in the gallery of the largest shopping and entertainment center in Bangkok with the assistance of Russian compatriots living in Thailand, under the auspices of the Russian Embassy.

At the opening of the exhibition, Russian Ambassador to Thailand Evgeny Tomikhin spoke about the history of the RGS and the peculiarities of the unique competition, which annually collects tens of thousands of photographs taken by Russian and foreign photographers.

It was noted that the organizers of the Most Beautiful Country competition provided the participants with a wonderful opportunity to show their works in dozens of countries around the world where exhibitions are opening. The photographers managed to make residents of different continents fall in love with Russia.

The opening of the photo exhibition in Bangkok became a significant event in the country's cultural life. Fans of photography, diplomats, RSL specialists, politicians, businessmen, representatives of international organizations took part in the opening ceremony.

The purpose of the competition is to preserve wildlife and foster respect for the environment.
