The creators of the World of Warships computer game and other popular military-historical games have presented the site of the legendary Aurora cruiser, developed for the Day of the Navy with the support of the Russian Ministry of Defense, Pobeda RF website reports.

The site presents the history of the famous cruiser, the construction of which began at the end of the 19th century. In those years, only five countries in the world had the technologies necessary to create ships of this type.

The documentary film and materials tell about Aurora during the Russian-Japanese War, World War I and the Great Patriotic War.

The website also presents historical photographs of the cruiser in different years. The central section of the site is a 3D model of the ship, which allows viewing the Aurora from all sides with maximum zoom. Special attention on the site is paid to the restoration of the ship, which began in 2014 and lasted for almost two years.

The development company recognized the socio-political and educational significance of the Aurora cruiser. The company plans to launch four more interactive museums of warships. They will be dedicated to the cruisers Kirov, Varyag and Krasny Krym, as well as to the Thundering destroyer.
