Vladimir Vysotsky memorial evening held in Turkey

An evening of memory will be dedicated to the work of Russian singer and actor Vladimir Vysotsky. The event is going to take place on July 25 in Turkey, the Russian Society of Antalya writes on its Facebook page. 

The evening is timed to commemorate the legendary artist, poet, singer. This year marks 40 years since his death. 

The concert organized by the Association of Friendship and Cooperation of Russian Speakers will be held online. An evening in honor of Vysotsky's work will be held in Turkey for the first time.

Everyone will be able to join the online broadcast on social networks. A flash mob was organized for the public. Within its framework, they offer to read a poem by Vysotsky or sing his song, record a video and post it on the Internet.

The evening will feature the poems of the famous singer performed by Russian-speaking residents of the city. The poet's son Nikita Vysotsky will join the event.  Another important guest of the program will be Hussain Avni Dagly, who translated more than a hundred of Vysotsky's works into Turkish.
