The Russian authorities do not deny assistance to foreign citizens who want to return home during the coronavirus pandemic, the Russian Foreign Ministry said. According to Denis Mikerin, issues of political differences do not play any role as far as people's lives are concerned, TASS reports.

Erlier, five Ukrainians and three Kazakhs flew to Moscow from Africa with almost 200 Russian citizens.

The Acting Deputy Director of the Information and Press Department of the Foreign Ministry confirmed that, given the availability of vacant places, Russia is trying to help everyone, while the priority is given to the Russians. And it is not the first time that Russia has been exporting Ukrainian citizens from different countries. The Ukrainians are returning to Russia, and in the future the Ukrainian embassy is in charge of their fate.

Now passengers and crew will have to self-isolate for two weeks.

Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova called the export flight from Africa an "African tour", the logistics of which turned out to be extremely difficult. With its help, dozens of Russians returned home from the most remote countries of the continent. Airports in some states were opened only for this aircraft. There were also small children among the passengers.
