Russian universities open summer online schools for foreigners

Russian universities have organized online summer schools for Russian and foreign students. They cover many areas, from the Russian language and business fundamentals to biomedicine and quantum physics, the Rossiyskaya Gazeta newspaper reports.

In particular, the Far Eastern Federal University (FEFU) will hold summer online schools for Russian teachers and foreign students studying Russian in August. During the classes, not only linguistic issues will be touched upon, but also topics of politics and economics.

Students of the FEFU summer school, which will operate from 10 to 28 August, will be able to select modules from the list. They have the opportunity to improve their Russian language skills and gain new knowledge about Russian culture, get acquainted with the peculiarities of the Russian iternal and external policies, as well as business in developing countries of the Asia-Pacific region. Participants will be get a certificate in accordance with the European Credit Transfer and Accumulation System (ECTS).

Russian language summer schools for foreigners will be opened by several leading universities in Russia, including the Pushkin State Russian Language Institute, Tomsk Polytechnic University and other educational institutions.

The Ural Federal University offers students programs in the field of economics and management, and the Pushchino State Natural Science Institute will launch an interactive lecture hall on astrophysics.

The Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology will help students in mastering quantum technologies. SPbPU together with SOKENDAI, the Japanese university, opens a school on plasma physics and controlled thermonuclear fusion.
