A forum dedicated to the Russian heritage was held in London, the website of the Moscow House of Compatriots reported.

The scientific and practical conference called “Russian Heritage in the Modern World” has become the 8th in a row.  Due to the adverse epidemiological situation, the forum was organized online.

The conference participants were joined by scientists, researchers, historians, educators and many others. Those who are interested in the history of the development of relations between the two countries, the Russian abroad, and the preservation of the Russian heritage participated in the conference.

Traditionally, the forum is organized by the Russian Heritage in the United Kingdom society with the assistance of the Russian embassy.

Speakers talked about the birth of the twinning movement, which began with Coventry and Stalingrad. Another report was devoted to the connection between Oxford and the royal house of the Romanovs, and the topic of another was the history of the Order of the Garter in the collection of the Moscow Kremlin Museums.

At the end of the meeting, the participants discussed topical issues of preserving the Russian heritage abroad and attracting representatives of the young generation to this work.
