The action of the picture is based on real events, the story of clearing the legendary city before the concert of the orchestra conducted by Valery Gergiev will be embodied on the big screen. According to the director, at the moment the film crew is looking for a suitable location in the Crimea. It is planned to conduct part of the filming in Syria, but so far permission has not been obtained for this.

Palmyra was liberated with the participation of the Russian military in the spring of 2016, but later the militants again captured the ancient city. In March 2017, Palmyra was again liberated by the Russian army. Military sappers from Russia cleared the historic quarters and the residential part of the city.
