Let's Honor Pushkin online marathon launched in UK

The start of the international literary and musical marathon dedicated to Alexander Pushkin was announced in the UK. It is conducted by Rossotrudnichestvo and dedicated to the anniversary of the birth of the great Russian poet, June 6.

The event will bring together connoisseurs of Russian culture, Pushkinists, poets, musicians, linguists from different countries - Russia, Great Britain, Belgium, Ireland, India, France, Serbia, China, the USA and others. They will perform Pushkin’s poems and romance songs in Russian and foreign languages, discuss the importance of the poet’s work and the role of the Russian language in history and the modern world.

Julian Henry Lowenfeld, poet, playwright, translator, researcher of Pushkin's work will act as the host of the festival. In 2020, he was awarded the Pushkin Medal for his great contribution to the study and preservation of Russian cultural heritage.

The events of the online marathon are avialable on VKontakte, Facebook and on the YouTube channel. The broadcast will begin on Saturday, June 6, at 14:00.
