The historical and cultural heritage of the Russian emigration in Montenegro will be a special theme of the international Russian Myths literary and art festival, which opens on June 5 for the 12th time. The event will be held with the participation of organizations from Russia and Montenegro, according to the festival’s Facebook group.

The theme for the festival was inspired by  the centenary of the Crimean evacuation, called "Russian Exodus".

Due to restrictions associated with the coronavirus pandemic, the festival will be held online. The program starts at 12:00. Representatives of the writing community and organizations of several countries will take part in the festival, speeches by experts from Russia, Montenegro, Germany, Poland, France, and Israel are announced.

Among the main tasks of the festival is the acquaintance and consolidation of Russian-speaking authors and publishers from different countries.

Prominent writers, poets, journalists, scientists and representatives of other professions from dozens of countries have taken part in the festival over the years of its existence.
